I am interested in PDT to reduce the size of my pores (already use retinoids, salicylic and do all that was listed there to help with the issue). But my skin is healthy and "young" enough as for derms to not consider me a suitable candidate for PDT: the side effects from it, the light sensitivity that comes with this procedure, etc. are not really compatible with my lifestyle and derms don't think anyway I should mess with a skin that otherwise is just ok. So my question is: is there any way to get results similar to PDT, a somewhat similar procedure, that can shrink oil glands without being as harsh/dramatic as the PDT treatment? Does IPL work at shrinking large pores at least to a point? Series of retinoic acid peels made at derm's offices (strenght = 3%) would help? That is what seems to be offered to people who, like me, don't have any other skin issues than large (and annoying!) pores. Feedback?
