Hi,
I am currently using Retin A and AHA at the same time (AHA, wait 30 mins, Retin A n moiturizer) to combat my acne. Is it ok to use them at the same time? I'm thinking of trying a glycolic acid peel. I just ordered Avon Anew retexturizing pads before i found out about Peter Thomas Ruth's products. I'll try it first then.

Hi Nicki,

I'm having trouble deciding on purchasing this product or MaMa lotion. Do you think that the Unwrinkle Peel Pads are more or less effective at reducing signs of aging and increasing collagen production? It looks like the MaMa lotion doesn't contain antioxidants like the pads, is that correct?

I read somewhere that did not recommend the AHA/retinol combination. I can't recall the reasons, other than it may be too much for sensitive skin.

Hi Futurederm...love your blog. Wouldn't the AHA inactivate the retinol in this Peter Roth product?

See Dr. Baumann blog

"Retinol is a highly effective ingredient, but it is unfortunately not a terribly stable one! Alpha hydroxy acids (such as glycolic acid and lactic acid) inactivate retinol, and the two should not be used together".
