I just discovered your blog and love it! I had to respond to this post because everytime I see the name Kate Somerville, I cringe. I don't understand why she gets such recognition especially when most of the people I have talked to who have tried her products either have bad reactions to them or find that they are almost worthless and not repurchase. I can also speak from personal experience since I am an esthetician who has tried these products. If you look at the ingredient lists of her products, they are not really that special and the only reason she can charge the prices she does is because she's a B-list celebrity chaser and exploits this any chance she gets. Now if you are going to talk about actual A-list celebrity esthetician facial lines, a lot of cleints I have worked with have had less reactions and more noticeable results with Sonya Dakar or Tracie Martyn.

Someone recently told me that when the pores are cold it squeezes out the oil naturally. I had always thought steam cleaned the pores, then you use the ice to shrink the pores.

I once steamed my face with hot water to somehow expand my pores and extract blackheads with a tweezer, it didn't end up well besides skin redness and flaky skin, I ended up with enlarged pores.

"At-home injectable kit" is the scariest thing I have heard so far this year!!! I can't imagine how injecting yourself at home (Unless you are a diabetic!) appeals to people!
