Vincent Longo Wet/Dry Diamond Eye Shadow ($24, amazon.com) can be transformed from a dry eye shadow to a wet one with the addition of base primer. By taking a bit of primer on the back of your hand and mixing in powder with a brush, you get a smooth cream eye shadow. It strikes me as being especially handy as an on-the-go eye shadow, something that allows you to bring just a few products to go from a day-to-night look. Vincent Longo sent us skye to try and I loved how the color made my eyes pop.

[caption id="attachment_14104" align="aligncenter" width="301"] Vincent Longo Wet/Dry Diamind Shadow colors tend to favor darker and cooler tones.[/caption]
I really liked this color when I put it on as a powder. It had a beautiful iridescent purple color that was pretty and a bit on the subtle side. Subtle, that is, compared to the wet look, which was darker, more pigmented, and definitely suitable for a night out. I love that one eye shadow can do double duty and I think some of the colors would work as a day-to-night look, or even just a more conservative/more done-up look.
There are a good variety of colors — favoring darker and cooler tones — and I can really see how the wet/dry combo would make them multipurpose.
The powder stays on pretty well throughout the day, so when mixed with a water base, the shadow has even more sticking power. The dry does lose some coloring throughout wear, but it sticks on relatively well. The wet has much better sticking power and holds on well the lid for several hours.
Texture: 5/5, Finish: 5/5

Obviously, the powder has a powdery finish and the wet look has a slicker look. The dimethicone gives the wet shadow a really smooth finish. It goes on really easily and it’s possible to build color without getting a look that’s too cakey, which is really nice. The mica gives a beautiful shimmering effect that’s not too over-the-top.
Vincent Longo Wet/Dry Diamond Shadow is versatile. It can be easily transformed from a more subtle, pretty powder to a bold and shimmering wet look. It’s got a pretty good pigmentation when dry and great pigmentation when wet. Overall, both stay on well throughout several hours of wearing. And the texture and finish are different and, yet, still both lovely with wet and dry.
