I really like a lot of Caudalie products.  Why?  First, grape seed extract has a lot of antioxidant potential.  Grape seed extract has been found to be more bioavailable than vitamins C or E (Toxicology), and limited studies suggest grape seed may be an even better scavenger of free radicals than vitamins C and E (Research Communications of Pathology and Pharmacology).  While some Caudalie products contain more bitter orange than grape seed extract, there still seems to be enough grape seed extract in Caudalie products to pack a protective punch overall.  Second, Caudalie products tend to be gentle and soothing for sensitive skin – always a welcome plus for a team of writers that try retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, and hydroquinone like it’s our job (oh, wait, it is!).  While I tend to think of Caudalie more for prevention than treatment, they do gradually make a difference in sunspots.
