Recently I picked up a trial size of the Josie Maran GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara in a kit that I purchased. I was curious about this mascara because of its nourishing argan oil and its claims for volume.
The Website Claims:
This mascara’s patented Triple V Brush delivery system coats lashes one luxurious layer at a time for full, long-wearing, clump-free, water-resistant definition. The rich, hydrating formula evenly builds thickness and smoothness, delivering a full fringe of blacker-than-black lashes with dewy shine. This natural and exclusive formula dries quickly without smearing, smudging, clumping, or flaking. An infusion of nourishing, protein-rich Argan Oil conditions and supports hair growth for lush, supple, healthy lashes.
- Argan Oil: replenishes and repairs lashes.
- Natural Carbon Black: our natural Carbon Black is polymer coated giving lashes extraordinary luster and pitch-black color.
- Formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs, Triclosan
The GOGO Campaign: Get One, Give One

Does it live up to its claims?
Well, it falls flat as a volumizing mascara for me, but it does live up to its other claims. My results with it were practically non-existent. While it has a nice formula that doesn’t clump, it gives very NATURAL looking lashes. The color is great though! It’s a very dark black, which I love. As you can see from the image above, my lashes are barely visible over my eyeliner with this mascara. It doesn’t really thicken my lashes.
Would I purchase again?
No. While I wouldn’t purchase this again, it’s because I want my mascara to give me ridiculously fat lashes. I think if you like a more natural lash formula that does not clump, this is a winner. It’s just not my cup o’ tea. Additionally I like their ‘Get One, Give One’ policy.
Have you tried this mascara? Did you like the results?
Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

That’s too bad >: I love volumizing formulas as my lashes are naturally crazy-spiders, they need fatness to look like good eyelashes.

Yeah, this just didn’t volumize for me. It was an otherwise great formula though!
