Sunday night, Carly Rae Jepsen was the perfect blend of daring punk and classic glam. The “Call Me Maybe” star rocked a gorgeous gunmetal gray Roberto Cavalli dress that shimmered with every step.

Not to be outdone, her makeup artist Tina Turbow used Lancôme to make Carly’s eyes shine, with a pouty nude lip to keep the look balanced.

Carly’s skin was lovely, with dewy skin and a subtle blush on her cheeks.  Tina started out by applying Lancôme Translucence Pressed Powder in Ivoire ($29, lancome-usa.com) to give her a gorgeous complexion.

Then to add a little glow, she swept her cheeks with Lancôme Blush In Love in Peche Joue-Joue ($49, lancome-usa.com)

Carly’s eyes were the read standout, a futuristic and chic mix of blues, blacks, and silvers. Tina lined her eyes with Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Lapis ($26, lancome-usa.com).

Then Tina used a blend of Lancôme Color Design Infinité 24 H in Forever Noir ($24.50, lancome-usa.com) with Lancôme Color Design Infinité 24 H Boundless Blue ($24.50, lancome-usa.com) for her eyelid and highlighted with Lancôme Color Design Infinité 24 H Unlimited Silver ($24.50, lancome-usa.com).

Finally, she swiped on Lancôme L’Extrême Mascara in Black ($27, lancome-usa.com) to give Carly some dramatic lashes.

Because Carly’s eye had so much pop, Tina chose to do a neutral lip, using Lancôme Le Crayon in Nude ($25, lancome-usa.com) to balance out the look.

Bottom Line

We think this is a perfect going out look. The metallic in the eye adds some nice frost for the winter especially. Overall, it’s got a great dramatic component, but the balance of the peach blush and nude lip keeps it sophisticated.
