The Clarisonic! It took over a year for my skin to recover from the breakouts and subsequent scarring.

Like Nicki, I’ve also been guilty of using sunscreen that gave me a “ghost” face complete with white streaks. It still happens occasionally, unfortunately, as my skin’s a tad too dark for all the non-tinted sunscreen (and too light for the tinted ones).

I touch my face too much and pick at my zits….so so so terrible! I can admit that I have been stopping myself when I go to touch my face so I am definitely working on it!

I have a tendency to overexfoliate and I know better! I have recently experienced retinol burns which will require a ton of patience to heal.

    1) Using the apricot scrub everyday!
    2) Not using sunscreen properly (or even at all) -> contributed to my freckles!

I have picked my skin for years. I try not to but I have a serious anxiety disorder and haven’t been able to get adequate mental health care for it. I try to counteract it with prevention.

I tend to pick the skin on my fingers a lot, which really ruins their appearance. I am looking for a cream to get rid of the scarrings and dry skin

I definitely am at fault for touching my face too much… even though I KNOW how bad it is.. I don’t realize it until the damage has been done! :(

My biggest skin faux pas was not moisturizing enough. At age 43, I just started using daily moisturizer about six months ago. Using moisturizer has improved my skin, however I regret not starting the routine earlier in life.

Wow where to begin. Not washing my face at night, I keep trying to do it before I am too tired. So hard, moisturize moisturize moisturize. I too did the apricot scrub even up until 5 years ago! Ahh

I used to over cleanse my face that my skin became so tight afterward, I switched to much more gentle formula & my skin is much less oily.

I tried to exfoliate the heck out of my oily, broken-out skin and in the process, destroyed my lipid layer! Yes! It is possible Don’t overdo it girls. Simpler is better!

I’m going to have to say the time I used a self tanner on my face, but didn’t apply it evenly.
I had orange streaks on my face.

I have very fair, sensitive skin. I’d say not using sunscreen or products with SPF when I know I should, regardless of the season.

I think for me it’s been using a self tanner on my face. NOT good. Thank goodness it came off after a bit!

I’m guilty of using the apricot scrub too. And also using a moisturizer with spf for night time. That was awful!

Where do I even begin?! Picking/ touching and not using enough spf every day were my biggest no-nos… and now that I’ve completely quit using any kind of sulfate on my body things are much better- who knew?!

I will never forget the trip we took to Dolphin Island, AL in my teens. I thought it was so cool to use that SPF4 spray tan oil. We would just lay out on the beach and literally fry our skin. Thankfully and miraculously, I didn’t get burned, but I would pay $$ to have those days back and wear some real sunscreen. Prevention is the best medicine!

Kind of gross, but picking at my zits — it leaves scars and red marks. I’m working on just letting them be!

Picking at acne and not wearing sunblock.
