How to use Latex Free Makeup Sponges with Foundation

Happy Friday! Today’s beauty brush post includes a video where I talk about latex free makeup sponges. There are many sponges on the market and I own quite a few of them. I talk about how I use them and how to take care of them. These are definitely an awesome tool to have in your makeup bag.

Beauty Junkees 4 Piece Beauty Makeup Sponge Set

This is the 4 piece Beauty Junkees Beauty Makeup Sponge set. Pink Teardrop, Purple Pear, Blue Sculptor, and Green Spade.

Pink Teardrop: This is the classic shape used for all over the face.
Purple Pear: The base is good for applying cream or liquid foundations all over the face. You can use the tip under the eyes.
Green Spade: This is good to use around the eyes and brows for precise concealing. It can also be used to remove any makeup mistakes.
Blue Sculptor: You can use the flat side for heavier liquid and cream foundations to stipple it on. The round side can be used to contour. You can also use it to press finishing powder into your face.

The great thing about these sponges are that you use less product once they’re wet. They don’t soak it up and absorb it. Using these sponges means you won’t end up with cakey looking makeup.

Essence of Beauty Precision Makeup Sponge

I really prefer the narrow nose of the Essence of Beauty sponge for applying concealer under my eye and cleaning up around my brows.

These really are easy to care for. Immediately after use, wash them with Enkore Makeup Brush Soap or the Beauty Blender Solid Soap, squeeze them out and let them dry. They dry pretty fast.

Products mentioned in the post:

Sonia Kashuk Sponge

Graftobian Sponge
Fyrinnae Sponge
Beauty Blender Solid Soap
Enkore Makeup Brush Soap (best brush soap ever!)

Have you ever tried using sponges? These are definitely a step up from the sponge wedges I’ve tried in the past.

Some products purchased by me. Some products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.
