Nicki Zevola is the founder and editor-in-chief of FutureDerm.com. Named one of the top 30 beauty bloggers in the world by Konector.com since 2009, Nicki has participated in campaigns with prestige brands such as Redken, Olay, Ken Paves, Rodan + Fields, NIA 24, Advanced Skin Technology, and many others.
Nicki is also a medical student within the prestigious University of Pittsburgh B.S./M.D. Medical School Guarantee Program. In 2008 she graduated from undergraduate studies as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and magna cum laude with degrees in Biological Sciences and Physics/Astronomy, and a minor in Chemistry. She has received numerous awards and designations, including the Dean’s Summer Medical School Research Fellowship (2009), Dean’s Honors List (eight times), two-time Chancellor’s Distinguished Research Fellow (2006, 2007), Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Fellow (2007), Pittsburgh Tissue Engineering Initiative Research Fellow (2005), Golden Key International Honors Society Inductee (2005), University of Pittsburgh BioEngineering Research Experiences for Undergraduates Grant Recipient (2004), University Scholar (2003), National Merit Finalist (2003) and full-tuition scholarship for undergraduate studies (2003-2007). During college she was also elected and served as vice-president of the student chapter of the American Chemical Society – Student Affiliates, the Pitt Women’s Investment Network, and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honors Society. Her estimated medical school (M.D.) graduation date is May 2013.
In her spare time, Nicki enjoys reading, running, Pilates, and spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend. She is an avid fan of Jim Rohn, Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Martha Beck, the poems of Mary Oliver, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Sex and the City, Christian Louboutins (and high heels in general), Vogue, Success magazine, and traveling.
