Refund Policy

We accept returns and exchanges.

RETURNS

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

SALE ITEMS (IF APPLICABLE)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

EXCHANGES (IF APPLICABLE)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email and send your item to:

GIFTS

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will found out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

 

GIVEAWAYS AND CONTESTS

Giveaways are open to any living persons, in the United States, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Winners will be selected in a random number generator by a FutureDerm.com staff member or the Sponsor of the Giveaway unless the Giveaway requires an individual critiqued selection by a FutureDerm.com staff member or the Sponsor of the Giveaway, those decisions are final and binding in all respects relating to the Giveaway. Winners will be notified by email.  If it is required and we are unable to contact a winner at their given email on the Giveaway’s end date, the Prize is forfeited and an alternate winner will be drawn from all remaining eligible entries.  The Giveaway winner grants permission to have their name used by FutureDerm.com and have all information provided sent to the Sponsors for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation. Multiple entries from the same name, IP address, home address, or email will disqualify the entrants from the Giveaway and could disqualify the entries from any further Giveaways. FutureDerm.com reserves the right to cancel any Giveaway with out any notice or revoke the privilege for entrants to enter any Giveaway or further Giveaways.

Void where prohibited otherwise or restricted by law. By entering or accepting any Giveaway winner agrees to be bound by these Giveaway Rules and Regulations, and to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All licenses, registrations, federal, state and local taxes are the winner’s sole responsibility. There are no prize substitutions, transfers or cash equivalents permitted. Unless prohibited by law, entry into this Giveaway constitutes permission to use winner’s name and address (street, city and state) email, pictures, age, location, sex, and any other information required to be eligible for advertising and publicity purposes for this or similar promotions without further compensation. By accepting the Giveaway item, the winner agrees to release and hold FutureDerm.com along with any staff member from FutureDerm.com from any responsibility for any and all damage, injury, death, loss, misfortune or other liability of any kind that may arise from or in connection with his or her acceptance of the Giveaway item, possession or use of the Giveaway item, or his or her participation in this Giveaway, or from any misuse or malfunction of any Giveaway item awarded.

The use of the term FutureDerm.com also includes any variation on the website name including www.futurederm.com, futurederm, the FutureDerm Twitter account, the FutureDerm Facebook account, and any FutureDerm.com staff member’s Twitter or Facebook Account.

REVIEW POLICY

Since 2010, the FTC requires that all bloggers disclose when they have received compensation or a sample for a product review.  As per this policy, all FutureDerm.com posts written since the initiation of this law have full required FTC disclosure.

So as to retain the public’s trust, FutureDerm.com does not guarantee compensation nor a sample nor an advertising contract will result in a positive review of a product, ingredient, company, or technology.  As of September 2011, in the event FutureDerm.com has received compensation for a product or service that results in a negative review (5/10 or less), FutureDerm.com may contact the advertiser with a warning before publishing, the opportunity to disprove the facts and/or rationale within the post, and/or the possibility of a refund.  This policy does not extend to retailers who advertise and sell brands that may be reviewed on FutureDerm.com.

FutureDerm.com currently will accept advertising contracts from independent brands on a pay-per-post, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.  Full disclosure will be made on any and all sponsorships on the site.

Bottom line:  I accept direct advertising contracts, and hope to do so in such a way that is fair, open, and honest to both my readers and the advertisers.  I do not think it is fair for companies to compensate me for bad reviews, but I also do not want to lie to my readers.  If I am compensated for a review, as of September 2011, I will give the opportunity for the advertiser to disprove my opinion and/or be refunded before publishing.  I will continue to publish negative reviews of products I find and/or purchase on my own.
