Clean Mist Cleansing and Refreshing Natural Bathroom Tissue Spray

Share Article

Clean Mist

In recent years, cleansing cloths have moved beyond the face to, well, the other end of things. To help you feel cleaner and fresher than toilet paper alone, many companies now offer flushable pre-moistened wipes for thorough cleansing and freshening. Cleansing more thoroughly helps to remove more hazardous bacteria like E. coli, as well as maintaining more of a confident, fresh clean than dry toilet paper alone.

However, flushable pre-moistened wipes have raised eyebrows from environmentalists. Though many wipes claim not to clog septic tanks, many people want to turn to a wipe-free alternative. Enter CleanMist Bathroom Tissue Spray, an all-natural spray that is designed to gently cleanse and refresh with plant-based ingredients like soap bark and calendula. Simply spray CleanMist onto dry bathroom tissue before wiping, and it’s like having the freshness of a wipe, without the wipe!

I must admit I was pretty skeptical about this product at first, but I decided to give it a whirl and even after several days use I am happy to report that I love it!  I also love that it works for babies clear up to adults and is all-natural and mostly organic for children and babies!

Calendula (Marigold): Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory

Love marigolds? When I was little, I used to plant them every year at my grandmother’s house, and I loved to watch them grow. Well, those pretty little flowers are actually beneficial for your skin; studies also show marigold extract has a slight boosting effect on collagen synthesis in the subepidermal connective tissue (Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences).

Most importantly for a product like CleanMist Spray, studies have shown Calendula extract to be a natural anti-inflammatory agent, excellent for taking down redness and irritation (Skin Therapy Letters, 2000) and has been proven to have antibacterial activity in many studies (IJARNP), which makes it perfect for CleanMist Spray.

Lavender: Antibacterial, Anti-fungal, Relaxing

Lavender

First used by the ancient Greeks and Romans, lavender is generally believed to be an antibacterial, anti-fungal, carminative (smooth muscle-relaxing), sedative, anti-depressive, and effective for burns and insect bites, according to a 2002 review in Phytotherapy Research. In addition, many enjoy lavender’s aromatic properties, finding it to be calming and soothing.

In the skin, lavender has been shown to exhibit some antioxidant activity, effectively diminishing UV-induced reactive oxidative species generation (ROS) in the skin of rats. Other reported benefits of lavender oil include a reduction in symptoms of eczema and moderate psoriasis, though the evidence of this is somewhat limited.

However, if you’ve thought lavender might help to heal wounds, this has not been proven to be true. While lavender oil has long enjoyed the reputation of promoting wound healing and scarring, there is little scientific backing for this as well, as pointed out in Phytotherapy Research.

Nevertheless, lavender’s antibacterial, anti-fungal, and relaxing properties make it great for CleanMist Spray.

Personal Opinions

After using the toilet, first dry wipe with toilet paper as per usual. Next, simply spray a squirt or two of CleanMist Spray on a few folded over squares of bathroom tissue. Freshen up, and you’re done!

I love that you can control the amount of moisture with CleanMist Spray. Sometimes I find that pre-moistened wipes are overly saturated or, after the package has been carried around with me in my handbag for too long, dried out. There is no concern about that with CleanMist Spray — the bottle lasts for about 450 sprays, so you can control to your level of comfort!

Bottom Line

If you are looking for a way to stay fresh and confidently clean throughout the day, I highly recommend CleanMist Spray. Unlike pre-moistened wipes, CleanMist Spray is safe for the environment. Furthermore, CleanMist Spray contains antibacterial and anti-fungal ingredients that keep you and your children safe and healthy! Love it!
