The holidays are here, which means all your favorite brands are coming out with their holiday kits. I love these kits because they are a great way to test drive new products without having to commit to a full size. So I was excited to try the Dew Holiday Right kit from Dr. Dennis Gross since I am somewhat unfamiliar with the brand.
Out of all the products in this set, I was most excited for this one. The Alpha Beta Peel has been a skincare lover’s favorite for years now. Nicki is a huge fan as well, so I couldn’t wait to try them. I love chemical exfoliants so I wasn’t too worried about my skin becoming more sensitive, as it is used to them by now. These did not disappoint. My skin felt smooth and plump and made applying foundation so much easier. I definitely recommend these if you aren’t already using them, although I think I might be the last person who had never tried them.
This was my least favorite product for one reason: the smell. I could not believe how bad it smelled (reminded me of cat litter). So, I can’t speak to how effective it is as I was only able to use it once.
My eyes get really dry and sensitive when the weather changes, so a good eye cream is essential. I loved the Marine Dew It Right gel because it didn’t irritate my skin at all and I saw a noticeable difference in my undereye area after using this for a couple weeks. They looked plumper and healthier and my concealer didn’t settle into my fine lines as much.
Because I loved the eye cream so much I had pretty high hopes for the moisturizer but was pretty underwhelmed. I think that if you live somewhere where it’s warm all year round this might be nice, or even just using it in the summer, but it has been so dry in Pittsburgh my skin needs a moisturizer that is heavier than this.
Overall I’d say this kit isn’t too bad. I really loved 2 out of the 4 products inside and it might be worthwhile to pick up if you are just getting introduced to the Dr. Dennis Gross line!
