Between frigid temperatures and late-night study sessions, my typically normal skin was becoming increasingly dry, so I decided to try out Elina Organics Skin Renewing Oil Blend. This organic oil blend contains sea buckthorn oil, its key ingredient, which is packed with antioxidants to nourish parched skin and help prevent signs of aging. For those in need of extra hydration, this product can be mixed with any Elina Organics moisturizer or the Crushed Pearl Powder Foundation — points for multifunctionality.
Being completely honest, if you are someone who is sensitive to scents this product may not be for you as that was the first thing I noticed upon opening the bottle. I wouldn’t say that the oil smells bad by any means nor does the smell linger, but it certainly has a distinct scent that could take some getting used to if you don’t typically use organic or all-natural products.
Another thing worth noting is that when you first apply the product it does leave your face feeling a bit greasy. However, the oil is light enough that it is quickly absorbed into the skin leaving you with a hydrated, glowing complexion.
After spending some time with the product, I can say that I’ve begun to notice my skin doesn’t have nearly as many dry patches and overall feels much softer. The oil is meant to be used twice daily which for me meant applying a few drops before heading out in the morning and after applying a serum at night. Elina Organics Skin Renewing Oil Blend is definitely a product I’d recommend giving a try — which I’ve actually suggested to a friend — if you’ve been suffering from dry skin.
