And don’t worry; all of the products feature a set of English instructions so no guesswork needed!
About The Products
I received the August box which contained five full-sized products — three skincare products, one cosmetic item, and one beauty tool, as well as two samples to try out.
The AMINOW Body Scrub lists 100% salt from the Mediterranean Sea deserts which contains over 30 types of minerals and amino acid oil as its key ingredients.
Get it Beauty’s Celebrity Aqua Mask, my favorite product of the bunch, containing triple hyaluronic acid and multi seaweed complex left my skin feeling supple and looking brighter. It’s also worth noting that the actual sheet mask itself was very well designed. When using masks made by western companies, I often struggle with the eye cut outs not lining up with my actual features resulting in the essence getting into my eyes — totally not relaxing. However, my corneas are happy to report that the Celebrity Aqua Mask didn’t have this issue.
W. Lab’s Selfie Velvet Lip Tint was my “pass” item of the bunch for two main reasons. I’m no stranger to Korean lip tints, so I had some pretty high expectations when I received this product. While the Selfie Velvet Lip tint did leave my lips feeling kissably soft thanks to its multitude of moisturizing ingredients (shea, mango seed, and avocado butters as well as camellia flower, marigold flower, and cherry blossom flower) no actual kissing took place as a result of the product’s not so great staying power. My other issue was that the shade I received, #02 Mild On, although very pretty, wasn’t a color I would personally reach for. This lesser issue has nothing to do with the lip tint itself, but I feel this fact is important to include as you’ll be receiving a random shade in cosmetic items.
Commleaf Green Tea Oil Blotting Paper was a sort of hit or miss item for me. I’m wholeheartedly more of a dewy finish kind of girl, so I personally didn’t get much use out of the blotting sheets. However, I tested them out on a friend who loved them. If you have oily skin and/or prefer a matte finish I think the Commleaf Green Tea Blotting Paper would be a great addition to your makeup pouch.
The Kicho Pack Brush is a synthetic bristle brush that can be used to apply facial oils, mask packs, or foundation. I preferred using the brush to apply my base makeup and was not disappointed! My face wasn’t left with lines or streaks that I experienced using other foundation brushes.
The final product I received was also from Commleaf. The Surely Green 100 Face Oil is 100% natural and formulated with over ten nature-originated oils including sunflower, jojoba, meadowfoam, sweet almond, avocado, olive, camellia, and bitter orange. Also, don’t let the name fool you; the instructions listed on the packaging state that this oil can be used on the face, body, and hair. I added a few drops to my favorite deep conditioning treatment which left my dry, color treated, and chemically processed strands feeling hydrated and soft.
Bottom Line on Joahbox
Overall I was beyond happy with the JoahBox. I’m typically confined to ordering all of my Korean beauty products from various online retailers, so I don’t get to try new skincare or cosmetic items often. JoahBox made it simple and fun -– who doesn’t love a good unboxing — to expand my K-beauty collection. I have no doubt you’ll be satisfied with their service.
