Like everyone with a pulse who lives in a part of the world that experiences all four seasons, my skin gets incredibly dry and dull in the winter time. The heat in my apartment plus the cold winter wind leaves my skin feeling tight and dry and (lucky me) I also get more breakouts, redness, and irritation. I’m always looking for a way to make my skin look dewy and hydrated in the dead of winter, so I was really excited to have the opportunity to try the Vitabrid Dual Mask.
According to the Vitabrid site, the “Dual Mask contains PEPTIBRID™ and VITABRID® to provide a concentrated supply of nutrition and elasticity to your tired and distressed skin. Using a hypoallergenic micro-sheet, this soothing and revitalizing mask erases fine lines, wrinkles and encourages the luminous, dewy skin you have been longing for to appear.” I’m turning 28 in June, so I’m excited about the added anti-aging benefits (that I can use in conjunction with my FutureDerm 0.5 Retinol) but dewy skin is what I am really here for.
The Vitabrid Dual Mask is a traditional cotton sheet mask, but a little thicker and softer than I’m used to which I like. It is heavily saturated but not to the point where it’s dripping down your neck or sliding around on your face. The directions say to leave it on for 15-20 minutes but I always leave mine on for longer. I take it off once it starts feeling a little dry and just pat the rest of the serum into my face. It absorbs really nicely into the skin and gives it a healthy glow. I can definitely feel the hydration, and the results last a couple of days before my skin starts looking dull and feeling dry again. They’re a little more expensive than a standard sheet mask but I think it’s worth the money. My skin looks and feels amazing and it’s helped to keep my breakouts at bay.
Personal Use and Opinion
I prefer sheet masks over wash-off masks and I’ve used just about every one on the market. The Vitabrid Dual Mask has definitely earned a spot in my top 5. I can’t speak to the anti-aging benefits, but if you’re looking for a boost of hydration this winter, I would highly recommend this one!
