  1. Taylor says:

I started wearing it on and off since I was 11, but I would really like to try out some new foundations and eyeliners

  2. Melanie says:

I started sneaking my mom’s blush (Rubiglo in the little terracotta pot–remember that?!) when I was in 5th grade because I was so pale and self conscious about it. I used to put it on with an old paintbrush! Thankfully my mom took pity on me about a year later and bought me my own makeup…and better brushes!

  3. Lucy says:

I started when I was 17 years old. My mom /finally/ let me use it after I started wearing contact lenses in order to look better, actually decent, for college interviews. I’ve never gone back =D

  4. Cate says:

I definitely rocked the roll on glitter when I was 10 or 11. Didn’t start using real makeup until I entered high school.

  5. Carmen says:

I started when I was 14, and I started with mascara, lot of it! It seems more subtle then other categories of makeup and it really emphasized my eyes.

  6. Vicki N says:

I didn’t start wearing makeup until my early 20’s but I had a fondness for skincare (thanks to my grandmother’s extensive estee lauder collection) since I was probably 9 or 10.

  7. jenny l. says:

I started wearing makeup when I was 13. I used to sneak in to my mom’s bedroom and apply it after she left for work!

  8. Alisa says:

When did I start wearing make-up? Do you want the official time that my mom knows about or the unofficial time when I used to sneak out the house clean faced but with a backpack loaded with makeup and makeup remover? My mom would say I started wearing makeup at 18. The real answer is 13 when I started sneaking some of hers. When I was 16 and my best friend got a driver’s license, that was when I started seriously wearing makeup.

  9. beautybabbling says:

I dabbled with a little bit of eye shadow in middle school, but I started wearing makeup regularly after my mom took me to a Merle Norman to have my makeup done in 8th grade. It was a great idea on her part because I had someone show me how to apply it.

  10. Cher says:

I remember when I was 13 I attended a wedding and asked my Mom if I could wear makeup. The reply was, “Well, just a little bit.” I didn’t know what “a little bit” was, so I borrowed her makeup bag and pretty much put everything in there on my face! *LOL* Ah, I’ve toned it down since then, but that was my starting ‘makeup moment’! :)

  11. Carole Jung says:

I started wearing makeup at 14 to cover blemishes. I couldn’t believe it, it was like an eraser that covered everything and evened out my skintone. Little did I know that I had created a monster, I am still very very into makeup. Thank goodness that I don’t cake it on like I used to though. But I still love my foundation!

  12. Cathy says:

I started wearing eyeliner and lipliner in 6th grade but didn’t get to mascara till 10th. Eyeshadow, foundation and the rest of the shebang wasn’t till after highschool =)

  13. Tracy says:

I snuck stuff from my mom’s stash as early as 1st and 2nd grade…wasn’t officially allowed to wear it at all til 6th grade…but oh how I loved it! Always have…always will LOL

  14. Jessica says:

7th grade. Full on foundation, concealer, blush…basically a new face. I was blessed w/ great skin, but I hated how pale I was. I’ve learned to embrace my skin color now in my 30’s and take extremely good care of my skin. Only wear products to accentuate features (i.e. blush, lipstick/gloss, eyeshadow) when I feel like it, or for a special occasion. Sunscreen is my new foundation : )

  15. Dawn T says:

I wasn’t allowed to wear it until 9th grade, though many of my friends started earlier! Thanks for the chance to win

  16. Leslie D. says:

Not until late 15 and I started with eyeshadow only for some strange reason. I didn’t even expand beyond eyeshadow for another year or so.

  17. vickyhoang says:

I started wearing makeup AFTER high school but it really doesn’t matter because..

“If it makes you feel beautiful, do it.” -Rae Morris

    It’s just simple as that.

  18. Petunia says:

The summer between 7th and 8th grade- Cover Girl Professional mascara and various “pot o’glosses.” And of course the collection of Bonnie Bell lip smackers. By Christmas in 8th grade, I was wearing Charlie perfume and pressed powder. By 9th grade, department store all the way.

  19. LeighAnn says:

I started around 13. I used to watch soap operas ( this was the early 90’s) and there was an actress who had this three tone eyeshadow look going on, in green no less. I desperately wanted to copy it. I failed horribly.
