As an Olympic Weightlifter, something on my body is always hurting. I’m often getting my aches and pains worked on, and, at home I’ve got Icy Hot and Epsom Salts in droves. When I received Extract Labs Muscle Cream, I figured it couldn’t be worse than what I was already doing and at best, it would be an addition to my arsenal of recovery methods. I was pleasantly surprised that it was neither!
To begin with, the cream smells relaxing. A lot of times, products meant for muscle relaxation or pain relief smell medicinal and kind of bum me out. I’m not sure if there’s mint or eucalyptus in this cream, but it’s invigorating from the moment I open the can. I also really like how smooth the product is. I expected it to be oily and that I’d need to wash my hands after applying to get the greasy feeling off but I didn’t. I had come to expect and accept that from the other products I was using. I apply it nightly after training when my knees begin to ache. I even used it on my temples a few times to soothe away a pounding migraine. In both instances, by the time I remembered my knees or head were hurting, the pain had already begun to subside.
The color of the packaging is predictable. As consumers are growing in their knowledge of CBD and the extraction process, green labeling is more ubiquitous than ironic. Another thing: I wish the lid was a screw on instead of a slide on. If the tin has to be a slide on, I wish the lid had texture around the perimeter to help with taking it off.
