I really can’t stop thinking about Spring! Neons, as always, are featured in Spring hues, so I decided to incorporate them into a manicure tutorial for you.
I’ve got Orly Glowstick and Purple Crush, along with Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle. I also have Cult Nails Get It On Base Coat and HK Girl Glisten and Glow top coat, as well as a makeup sponge wedge.
Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle is just stunning! I thought it would be fun to add with Glowstick.
Now, I did this tutorial both on the nail wheel and on my nails. I think the nail wheel turned out better than my hands, to be honest.
1. Prep the nails with a base coat, then apply 2 coats of Orly Glowstick. Then add a fast drying top coat.
2. With a makeup sponge wedge, dab Orly Purple Crush onto the end of the nails. I went for a triangular shape but you can just do straight across.
3. With the same makeup sponge, dab Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle on top of Purple Crush. Then add a top coat.
Now, a couple of things… Orly Glowstick was extremely watery and thin. It was hard to get the polish to be anywhere close to even in two coats. It really is the color of a yellow highlighter, so I think it’s an awesome color but it’s kind of a pain to work with. I’m not sure how to get it to thicken up, but that would help it. The consistency on Purple Crush was much better.
Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle was a dream to work with and just so gorgeous! It’s such a stunning color.
What do you think of these colors? Would you wear them for Spring?
