Silk Naturals Chromatic Cream Eyeshadows Tutorial

Some products sent for consideration. Some products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

Happy Friday! Today I’ve got a tutorial for you with the new Silk Naturals Summer 2013 Hot in the City Collection Chromatic Cream Eyeshadows.  There are 19 different Chromatic Cream shadows and I used 6 in today’s look. I also am testing out the new Anastasia Hypercolor Brow & Lash Tint in Ultra Violet. While I love the color, the formula on the one I received is very dry and flaky. It doesn’t have the same creamy formula as the Anastasia Tinted Brow gel that I love. If only this came in that formula! Also I’m wearing Stila After Glow Lip Color in Tangerine Dream and I have to say it’s one of the most comfortable formulas I’ve ever tried! Absolutely love it.

Anywa,y onto the Chromatic Creams!

The Silk Naturals Chromatic Creams are an all new product line from Silk Naturals. They’re a liquidy formula that dries down to a smudge proof, but not waterproof, formula. They have lots of shimmer and shine, except for Blackout, and they have absolutely NO fall out, due to their cream to powder formula. If you have oily lids, like I do, you may want to use an eyeshadow primer. If you have normal eyes, you won’t need one. The formula contains silica to help absorb oil and keep you crease free. For me, I’ve been able to wear these for 8 hours and counting without creasing.

They’re vegan and cruelty-free, which I appreciate. They’re $4.99 each, available from SilkNaturals.com.

How to Achieve
1. Apply Midtown to the inner 1/3, Pashmina to the middle 1/3 and Roxbury to the outer 1/3 of the lid.
2. Use Gotham in the crease.
3. Highlight under the brows with Ozone.
4. Apply Gotham to the lower lid.
5. Line the upper lash line with Blackout. Line the wateline with Light. Add mascara. Add a dab of Candlelight duo at the inner corner.

Now, you obviously don’t have to use so many colors on the lid. I did to test the wear time of the individual colors. It’s also pretty easy to take a brush a blend ou the edges of the creams before they set, but you need to work quickly. You can also blend them out with your finger, which is what I did on my browbone.
