Recently I had the opportunity to try out Smashbox Limitless 15 hour Wear Cream Shadows. I received the shades Amethyst and Sterling.
Amethyst is described as a rosy purple.
Sterling is described as a true silver.
Both look really gorgeous in the pot!
On the skin Amethyst looks much more like a burgundy, wine or red plum than what I think of as the gemstone amethyst. It’s a really lovely shade.
On the skin Sterling made me think of Mithril, definitely living up to its true silver description.

Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! I couldn’t remove this with water, I had to use an eye makeup remover made for waterproof products. It lasted 8 hours on me and looked like it would continue to last the full 15 hours.
I applied Amethyst to my lid and crease with a concealer brush and then tried to smudge out the crease with my finger tip. I layered Sterling on top of my browbone, crease and inner corner of my eye with my finger tip.
This dries down quickly, so you don’t have much time to blend.
The look I did was really quick and simple, and as you can see, the color payoff is beautiful. Because of how well the colors stick around, don’t crease, and are water resistant, I think they’re perfect for summer.
These are definitely a winning product from Smashbox. If you like waterproof, longwearing shadows, these are for you!
Do you like cream eyeshadows? How do you typically apply them: with your fingertip or a brush?
