Do copper peptides potentially have any negative effects?
An oft-misinterpreted 1999 study in Nature found that copper peptides activate matrix metalloproteinase-2 — enzymes that degrade or breakdown collagen. Adding copper in certainly does not hurt, as studies suggest copper may stimulate collagen-activating enzymes superoxide dismutase and lysyl oxidase.
